$$ Dollars for Doernbecher’s – Final Call

This is it folks!  We are down to the final (2) days of fundraising for this great cause.  Wouldn’t it be great if I could rally the forces and have 100 people donate $100 each.  Do you know that this would = $10,000.00!!!  Let’s do this!  This website makes it super simple to donate via credit card.  Select the DONATE button and Let’s Do This!

P.S. I chose to use WordPress for this fundraising effort because it was the site that takes the least $amount for their cut from the money raised.  All the money you donate will go directly to Doernbecher’s.  I have a donor that has stepped forward to cover the transaction fees so that none of the money donated is going towards administrative.

Every Little Bit Counts

$10 x 100 individuals = $1000

$100 x 100 individuals = $10,000

“The power of one, if fearless and focused, is formidable, but the power of many working together is better.”  ~Gloria Macapagal Arroyo

The power of each individual combined with many can bring about great things.  Let’s Do This!

Let’s Do This!

I was selected by the Sprague High School staff to be one of (12) contestants for this year’s Mr. and Ms. Olympian Pageant.  This pageant started in honor of former Sprague student, Jessica Stanford, who passed away due to complications of Leukemia.  This pageant was created to raise money for Doernbecher Children’s Hospital where she received treatment.

In 1995, Jessica Sanford, a junior who attended Sprague High School passed away after a fight against Leukemia.  After Jessica’s passing, her close friends raised money for the children’s hospital to give back for all the wonderful care they provided, and to preserve Jessica’s memory.  With these ideas in mind, Oly Pageant was created.

Participating in an event such as this who’s goal is to raise awareness and funds for Doernbecher’s – a Children’s Hospital is a cause close to my heart.  I have a cousin who was treated at a children’s hospital in another state at the age of 4 for a brain tumor.  Nothing can take away the struggles these children and their families experience but perhaps their burdens can be lightened through our efforts of support.

Thank you for your time and support.  Every little bit counts.

Let’s do this.  Let’s make a difference.
